For every property that is listed all Real estate companies have a copious amount of money, time and energy invested in it with a success rate of between 10%-20% (of what is listed) turning into successful sales.

Who benefits from the commission? The company take a percentage, then the selling Property Practitioner gets a percentage. It is the Property Practitioner's only means to make a living (they don't get a salary) from their remuneration they must pay the listing Property Practitioner a percentage for his service. Often there is a listing that only a select agency can work on, and then other agencies also refer a client to you where you then pay a referral commission to that company and that is coming off the TOP...

Agency's costs are as follow to mention a few: Office's rental (including rates, levies, electricity and water), office supplies, equipment, and administrative staff. Then there is numerous portals and websites and online tracing and advertising sites, the municipality (Yes by just placing a pointer board, they charge money), and pointer boards cost. All this marketing and advertising keep other small companies in the business.

Photos, the cost of it and the time it takes to present a property to the best of its potential. Then the endless time of marketing and getting a viewing at a property. To legally operate agencies and Property Practitioners need to write exams and pay yearly fees to the Practitioners' Regulatory Authority (PPRA). Many of the Estates charges a sizable fee to the Property Practitioners who write exams, and this enables them to operate and sell within those Estates. The time spent with a client to take them around, some even hours, and at times we as Property Practitioners must give up and sacrifice, the time we could have spent with our families and loved Ones...
