Umhlali Golf Estate at a glance
A true gem of the Dolphin Coast, Umhlali Country Club is a tropical oasis with magnificent palm-lined fairways, seven feature water holes and the greenest grass coating it all year round. Just a 15-minute drive from King Shaka Airport and North of Durban's busy city Umhlali is widely renowned as a sporting haven for enthusiasts that need a break from the city life but don't necessarily want to drive for hours on end.
There are seven different areas which make up the housing side of Umhlali.
1 - Tuscan Villas
Superb duplexes, aligned on the right-hand side of the 2nd fairway, masterly built with superb views. Small 2 and 3-bedroom simplexes are situated behind the larger 4-bedroom duplexes on the northern boundary. It features its central clubhouse and swimming pool within the complex for private use by owners and their guests. Two small pets per household are allowed.
2 - The Oval
This was the very first development that commenced in 2003. The Oval consists of 54 houses built in the quaint housing village situated in the heart of Umhlali Country Club, next to the central clubhouse. There are 27 fairways homes and 27 clubhouse homes, all of them either three or four-bedroom units. Two small pets per household, both cats or dogs, are allowed.
3 - Villas on One
Villas on One It is a small complex of only 11 units, comprising 4 two-bedroom simplexes and 7 three-bedroom duplexes overlooking the 1st green. Well, it is situated near to the Clubhouse and tennis courts, with ample visitors' parking. A small single pet is allowed.
4 - Fairway Villas
Fairway Villas is also a smallish complex of 16 units, comprising 4 two-bedroom duplexes with views towards the central clubhouse and 18th green and 12 three-bedroom duplexes overlooking the 17th fairway. Each has its courtyard and garden. A small single pet is allowed.
5 - Springwood Villas
A small sectional complex of 11 units of which the sizes vary between 144m2 up to 213m2. The complex has a communal pool and is situated behind Springwood which comprises freestanding homes. The complex is pet friendly.
6 - Springwood
Springwood (50 houses) features mostly larger type homes, many double-storey, set on a hillside behind the 13th green, 14th T and 15th green. They have elevated inland views. Two small pets per household are allowed.
7 - Ballito Gardens
There is also Ballito Gardens, which is alongside the 12th and 13th holes. They have their entrance and have entrance to Umhlali on the course side. Individually designed and built by master craft and set out behind the 12th green and along the 13th fairway. Central to the houses is lovely landscaped gardens around dams and water. This estate does NOT allow cats. However, 2 pets per household are permitted. Within Ballito Gardens you will also find two sectional complexes; Called La Colina and La Pianta.
